THE SPIKES - URGES and PURGES
Ladies and Gentlemen, it gives us great pleasure to finally announce the name of THE SPIKES' debut album. URGES and PURGES will go on general release towards the end of 2008. After many many many suggestions and even after all agreeing on a name only to have it robbed by fucking REM, yea, 'Accelerate, Its killing time' was to be the title, THE SPIKES have happily agreed on URGES and PURGES which pretty much encapsulates everything this album is about ! So now that we have the name, theres no stopping us :) Dont forget to spread the word to your friends about downloading the single Hypnotized.
In other news THE SPIKES have been confirmed to appear at this years Trinity Ball supporting such acts as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Feliz Da Housecat. Tickets on sale at the usual outlets if your a Trinity head !

Album Ready baby
Wow, what a feeling it is :) Happy to report the completion of tracking the album with the mix started and everyone still alive and kickin'. And even happier to announce the release of Hypnotized as the first single on download only at the beginning of March. As Suite Studios are getting in a new SSL desk we are holding off on mixing the remaining tracks till that babys fired up and rolling. The tracklist for the album is as follows :

Debut Album baby on the way
While the sleepy nights of December and January were dreamt away with post festive detoxs, THE SPIKES happily laboured away at producing their Debut Album at Clara Studios, Offaly and Suite Studios, Dublin with the master CIARAN BRADSHAW captaining the cruise. After an intensely satisfying 6 days in the country village of Clara, Co Offaly proceedings were moved back to HQ in Suite Studios, Dublin. Its coming along nicely people so sit tight will the master Mr Bradshaw works his magic

The Spikes are happy to announce that they will support Paddy Casey at the UCD Student Bar on Thursday Nov 15th. The lads will be onstage at 9pm for a 45min set so should be a good one.

The Spikes are happy to announce the rescheduled headline performance at Radiator in The Hub, Dublin on Friday Nov 9th. Support to be confirmed but rest assured the lads will be in dynamic form having had to cancel their earlier shows due to the sad death of Gareths gran. Hope to see yee all there for this one !
